ABOUT US
We are the WI of Pudsey, a well established group of women. Our members learn new skills and make friends while having fun.
Pudsey Women's Institute meets on the 1st Monday of every month at Pudsey House at 7:30PM. If you are not sure if you want to join why not come along as a guest where we guarantee a warm, friendly welcome.
Pudsey Women's Institute was established in 1983. We currently have over fifty members. You may just want to attend the monthly meetings but there are a variety of other activities that may interest you. Come to the book club or the walking group. The luncheon group is popular. You can also learn how to be a dressmaker and learn other crafts.
At the monthly meetings we endeavour to always have a guest speaker and talks that are both educational and entertaining. This year has diverse talks such as 'The Icing Workshop', 'My Life as a Tiller Girl', 'All about Diamonds', 'The Scandal of Care Home Fees', 'Life as a Medieval Monk', 'My Career as a Dressmaker' and 'The Galapagos Islands'.
If we don’t have a speaker we may just hold a social evening where members bring in their own baking or samples of their crafts followed by a quiz.
In September we are looking forward to celebrating the WI centenary. In November we are holding a 'Murder Mystery Evening'. We always have a great Christmas party in December.
Apart from that, Monthly meetings we host a variety of other activities:
